The Social Network website is launched

You can now enter the movie official web site to access exclusive content

Sony Pictures has just released full content for Fincher's upcoming movie. While listening to NIN/Trent Raznor's chilling score you'll be able to browse all new features (synopsis, cast, photos, videos, news...).

Major update is 46 high res pictures. No new clips so far.

There's still 4 weeks before the October 1 release, and a little less before New York Film Festival September 24th premiere, so you can expect more soon.

The Social Network: Promotion Begins!

We have endured painstakingly long months of Fincher absence. Now Columbia has officially begun their promotional work for his next movie, "The Social Network", otherwise known as "The Facebook Movie".

The film's official website just went up on: 500millionfriends.com. And on it you can not only register for updates and recommend the site on facebook (how fitting): You also and most importantly get a glimpse at the film's first poster, which reads the amazing headline, "You don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies."

Beautiful artwork, featuring a headshot of Jesse Eisenberg as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. And a typography that reminds me a lot of the one for "Zodiac".

I am very glad promotion has finally kicked off. We might only be weeks away from a decent trailer. And of course it's only a couple more months to watch David Fincher's brand new next film.

There's nothing much on yet, no pictures, no trailer, but you do get a glimpse at the typeface and you can register for updates ... and hopefully -- they will add a teaser or trailer in a little bit!

With his 1995 release David Fincher not only made himself known as a highly talented director to be counted with, but also gave the world of cinema an instant classic -- "Seven". If you do not already own the Special Edition DVD Set (which usually sells at a very fair price), check out the official website and get a taste of some of the awe-inspiring bonus material!

The site hosts samples of the commentary tracks, some special background info on John Doe and the original theatrical trailer -- which by itself makes for a great reason to pay a visit to that site.

In one of the samples David talks about the transfer process of the celluloid original to DVD. This is particularily interesting, as "Seven", in my opinion, showcases some of the most outstanding and captivating cinematography ever put on film.

Alien 3 - Official Site

Thanks to the release of the fantastic ALIEN Quadrilogy DVD-Set there is something like an official website for David's debut film, even though this film dates back all the way to 1992!

Even though David has distanced himself from the final product (due to creative differences with the studio), "Alien 3" introduced his signature camera angles, lighting style and of course: an initial taste of his moral themes.

The site features mostly screenshots, some video material and allows for a few looks "behind-the-scenes". For a true FincherFanatic -- definitely worth checking out ...

Panic Room - Official Site

"Panic Room" arguably is one of David's most commercial films. But in my opinion that doesn't make it any less appealing. Throughout this film features some of the best cinematography, visual effects, tracking shots and overall direction ever witnessed.

A real must for every FincherFanatic ...!

The coolest thing you will find on the Official Website is a "Script to Screen" feature that shows you the evolution of David's vision from the Storyboarding stage all the way to the final shot.

Fight Club - Official Website

"Fight Club" was release in 1999 (which is a long 8 years ago, guys, think about that!), but already this hard-hitting comedy -- as David sees it -- has made it's way up into the list of the best movies of all time.

Fox's official website for the film is still up and running, and it's quite ... "impressive". It features some verly disturbingly bad graphic designs and of course: some good old "Fight Club" music. FincherFanatics, this is the real deal!
