Thanks to Thiago: He dug deep. He unsurfaced this nice article about "FIGHT CLUB" scribe Jim Uhls and the writer of "BUFFALO SOLDIER", Eric Axel Weiss, talking about the process of adapting a novel into a movie. And now he is sharing it with us ...
Uhls claims he visited support groups during his work on FIGHT CLUB and thought about picking a random fight. Sounds like he never let the fight happen, but gladly he still did a superb job on adapting Palahniuk's novel for the big screen. The mention of David Fincher in this is brief and overwhelmingly uninformative.
So this article aims at those of you who (besides appreciating the works of a great director) have an interest in the writing process.
