David stated, "Zodiac" should look like neither film nor video, and well -- it doesn't: It's utterly superb! As with his commercials, David pushed the edge of digital cinematography to its limits and achieved a wonderfully flawless look, that is in no way comparable to the pseudo-film graininess of "Collateral" or the horrible low-span compressions we had to witness on the recent "Star Wars".
