In Early Talks

Yup, I think that's the part I would like to cautiously highlight here: "In early talks". As for the rest, the headline speaks for itself. Kinda sounds like "The Social Network Revisited" to me.

Now all we need is to bring Andrew K. Walker in for a dark rewrite. And Tyler Durden.

  3. I've been a Fincher fanatic from Se7ev, and with Zodiac he surprised me once again with his brilliance. But in the last few years, movies like Social Network and Curios case...have been a big dissapointment...Im welcoming his portrayal of Gillian Flynn's novel Gone Girl. I dont think he should direct a movie about Jobs, it's just isn't his fortee.

  4. Just as you perceive Fincher's ”changing” (as a filmmaker) over the years... you (the viewer, the fan) change over time. Acknowledge this, and you'll never wonder again about Spielberg's/Tarantino's/Fincher's/et-cetera 's metamorphosis. Fincher was reading the "Seven" script 20 years ago.

  5. ...which - change - is kind of a point of 'benjamin button', which the OP there didn't like.
