House Of Cards Gets London Premiere

So this is how they're doing it: Fincher's 21st Century take on "House of Cards" gets its proper roll-out — a premiere of the show's first two Fincher-drected episodes at London's Odeon Westend theatre. It's your £45 chance to meet Fincher and members of his cast and crew on January 17 2013, and have a very exclusive first look at something that looks totally promising.

Thanks, Robert Paulson, for pointing us to it.

  2. Minor correction ~ the premiere is not at the Old Vic Theatre, it's in aid of the theatre. The event will be at the Odeon West End Cinema in Leicester Square in the 2000 capacity Screen 1. Which should hopefully mean a nice 4K projection on one of the largest screens in the UK. Received my tickets on Christms Eve. Now I just need to work out if I can afford to get there!

    1. No problem FF; if I do manage to make it down to London I'll be sure and post a full review of proceedings here.

  4. Everyone,

I was getting a load of spam here recently, and I find it obnoxious to clean spam comments every single day. I will therefore try Blogger's word verification for now. Please let me know whether this works,... and of course we'll see whether the spamming will end.

I truly hope that spammer is a bot — as for a human being such a degree of degenerate stupidity would simply be pitiful. Please spam youtube or someplace else. Thanks. ;)

  5. Here is an article I found from the DGA magazine a couple of weeks ago wherein Fincher et al discuss the project.

Can't wait to see this Thursday night.
I was told today that the Q&A is only scheduled for 30 minutes, which is a bit disappointing. Hopefully on the night things will change.

    1. Fantastic article!

Simon, have a great time on Thursday. I can't wait to read your review. And I hope you will be able meet the man himself :)

PS. I watched "Side by Side" doc, Fincher had some very good arguments for shooting digital, but it was only a few snippets of footage, I wish there was more ;)
