More Dragon Tattoo Casting

As was to be expected with a masterful director of David Fincher's rank, his latest film is attracting a host of talent: With Daniel Craig signed as the male lead last week, and now Stellan Skarsgard and Robin Wright in talks to join the ensemble.

Deadline.com seems to have a very special and close relationship with this production, since they are usually the first to break casting news and further status updates. Robin Wright is now rumored to star opposite Daniel Craig as his journalist colleague Erika Berger, a shoulder-to-lean-on and occasional-humping character. Gotta love Robin Wright. She's a great actress and, hey, she's blonde, so she looks perfectly Swedish.

Native Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard was reported to be in negotiations to play Martin Vanger, a suspect in the disappearance of a teenage girl decades earlier -- the central thread to the first movies storyline. Skarsgard told Variety: "I've met Fincher, I want to work with him, he wants to work me. I've had a concrete offer, and now we are in negotiations." Interestingly from Skarsgards further statement one can gather that shooting is scheduled to last from September 2010 to March 2011. And september, as you know, is less than a month away.

"The Social Network" marketing going strong and David Fincher attached to this very high profile new adaptation of the Millenium trilogy should guarantee a lot more Fincher news items in the weeks to come.

  1. I'm really thrilled with the choices so far. I'm not famous, but I'd like to be the next addition to this cast. Even though this may not be the best avenue.... My name is Elizabeth Hirsch-Tauber

  6. People, people. This blog has no affiliation with David Fincher or his production offices... it's the same as when you ask for an audition on IMDB, a site wholly owned by Amazon.com, and not any movie producers. The best you can do is find their agent's information on there and then directly contact them. The chances of David Fincher reading this blog tend to zero.

Good acting though, Camilla. I didn't much like the geeky song about Facebook though.

    Good luck to you all.

  7. @Fincherfanatic

Maybe you should write somewhere that this blog is not affiliated with David Fincher. Except you want to drive more traffic to this site from people who want to work with Fincher. ;)
