Jane Austen's Fight Club

Sometimes you have to wonder where people get their ideas. This one is truly odd. Uhm. And absurd. Yet just as splendid! Come to think of it: After a numbing "Sense and Sensibility" / "Pride and Prejudice" double feature, this may be exactly what you need...

Big thanks to Manny for this find:
Welcome to Jane Austen's Fight Club.

Be honest. Who of you would watch this in theaters?

  1. Hell no, I wouldn't watch this as a feature. Women should stick to their Pride and Prejudice, and leave Fight Club to men.

  8. Hey anonymous (with the funny spelling and poem like formatting)! Why don't you write up the blog posts yourself? Just write a nice little post and send them to fincherfanatic@yahoo.com. It's just 5 minutes of daily work, isn't it?

  9. choose your next words carefully, Brent.
i'm not on the other side of the black waters...

there's no need to post anything first.
FIRST, put a title and link.

your need to first write a "nice little post" makes you guys wait until you get some inspiration.
    don't wait.

post a title and a link.
    text after.

  10. ...since you already have the "update" modus operandi, just apply it -- with regard to news-digging first and foremost.
(that's also the "Deadline Hollywood" way of attacking news. and it works. they put out the news first, and the comments follow later.)

  11. Interesting debate going on here, too bad some commentators chose to remain anonymous, which makes it harder to thank you for your contributions.

I agree, we should try and post news items more quickly.

A problem with the UPDATE mode is that when updating a story from a couple of posts back it will not move up to the front of the blog.

I'll try and figure something out, although I have to say (at this time) I prefer a decently written post over just a chunked out headline and a link. But maybe this is the way to go.

So thanks for keeping us up to our standards.
