MTV.com has added a half a dozen little clips from their Comic Con interview with the "Goon" crew, and luckily they made good use of their opportunity to try and get some answers out of Fincher. They tried.
What, at first glance, makes Fincher look like he's uncomfortable in front of the camera, of course may indeed be so. On the other hand I could think that he is simply not at liberty to talk about his other projects in detail at this point, such could be the case with "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", "20.000 Leagues Under The Sea" and "Heavy Metal".
On "20.000 Leagues Under the Sea"What's great is that they got David Fincher on their panel and we get to see him get himself out of a series of questions concerning his upcoming films and his in development slate. A newly added video even gives us a brief glimpse at Fincher's non-involvement in the "Spiderman" franchise.
"The idea of doing a gigantic, steampunk, science-fiction movie from 1873 – kinda cool."
– David Fincher

Very cool, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
ReplyDeleteI think Fincher is just not so fond of "hip" MTV moderators, especially when they're so quirky and gay as Josh Horowitz. His collaborators seem to be of the same mind.
ReplyDeleteI think Fincher looks uncomfortable because the moderator keeps asking him questions that has nothing to do with The Goons-- I feel bad for the other people he is with. It's good to hear The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is going to be set in Stockholm.
