The Best Possible

Wow! This is a true jewel for Fincher fans. It's been recorded with a potatoe but nonetheless: Here are the nominees...

Biggest of thanks to Philipp for a find that truly made my week.

  1. A visual proof that Fincher ruled the MTV back then ;) That Paula Abdul video is also very good, I remember I really liked it when I was a kid :P But Vouge... it is just classic, a well deserved win :)

    Thanks Philipp.

  3. The directors of Janie's got a gun and The end of the innocence both got robbed, in my opinion.

  6. Two quick, but interesting, links ~

First, a heavy and nutritious 13 minute video essay on 'GDT' as a 'meta-remake'. By Christopher Heron ~

Part of 'The Seventh Art' video magazine (check out the excellent Bogdanovich 50 minute interview elsewhere in the current 'issue').
Or, if you prefer to digest the written word, here is a pdf link to the essay ~ http://www.theseventhart.org/essays/The-Seventh-Art-Girl-With-The-Dragon-Tattoo.pdf

Secondly, from the Criterion Collection YouTube channel, what happened when sublime cinematographer Harris Savides stopped by the Criterion production offices at the end of April and browsed the collection. Nothing specific to Fincher here, but it could very well indicate that 'The Game' is coming to Criterion DVD/Blu-ray soon. Savides could have been at Criterion to oversee the telecine process, which would suggest the project is in the end stages. 'The Game' on Criterion by Christmas? Here's hoping.
