Alongside the release of ZODIAC, australian newspaper Herald Sun published this: A personal reflection of the production of ZODIAC -- and an intriguing look inside the mind of David Fincher.
It's interesting that a perfectionist director like David (much like Alfred Hitchcock) enjoys the planning and creative work of pre-production and the editing and post-production, but seemingly has to force himself through the shooting:
"By the time you're done reading it,
as far as your enjoyment is concerned,
it's over."
The article also covers David's working with actors, marketing-quarrels, and a brief mention of the upcoming "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (2008).
For every FincherFanatic this should make a great read!
-- Enjoy!
